Khejur Gur (Date Palm Jaggery):-  Date  Palm Jaggery is natural Jaggery made from the juice of early morning dates and has an incomparable taste.

This product is produced by marginal and small farmers in some districts of West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Some of the producing districts are Bankura, Purulia, East Burdwan, Murshidabad, Malda, Ranchi etc.

·   Palm Jaggery is made in two ways, one liquid and two solid mud. Liquid Jaggery is called Nalen gur and solid/hard Jaggery is called Pataligur.

 

         Basically this jaggery has different names of West Bengal like Patali jaggery/Nalen jaggery/Khejur jaggery. This date palm jaggery is used to prepare various sweet dishes like nalen jaggery rasgolla, payesh, Sandesh , Manda, etc.
